What personal and property data InspectProConnect collects, why, how long it is kept, and the rights you can exercise over it.
1. Who we are
InspectProConnect is a software platform that inspection businesses — home, chimney, structural, mold, roof and septic inspectors — use to run intake, scheduling, CRM, reporting and their public business page. This policy explains how we handle personal data across the website, the web application and the InspectProConnect mobile apps for iOS and Android. For data you upload about your own clients, you are the controller and we act as your processor under the Terms of Service.
2. Data we collect
- Account data — name, business name, email address, phone number, password hash, role and workspace membership.
- Customer records you enter — the contacts, properties, inspection requests, appointments, notes, photographs and reports you create in your workspace.
- Property and parcel data — addresses you enter, plus public records retrieved on your behalf from government GIS and public-records sources.
- Billing data — subscription plan, billing status and the last four digits of the payment card. Full card numbers are handled by our payment processor and never reach our servers.
- Technical data — IP address, device and browser type, timestamps, pages requested and error diagnostics, used to keep the service secure and working.
- Integration data — credentials you connect for third-party services are encrypted with AES-256-GCM and stored server-side only; request and response logs are redacted before they are written.
We do not collect precise device location in the mobile apps, we do not use advertising identifiers, and we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
3. Why we use it and our legal bases
- Providing the service you subscribed to — performance of a contract.
- Billing, invoicing and fraud prevention — contract and legal obligation.
- Security, abuse prevention, audit logging and diagnostics — legitimate interests.
- Product and service emails you can opt out of — legitimate interests or consent.
- Meeting tax, accounting and law-enforcement obligations — legal obligation.
5. Retention
Workspace data is retained while your account is active. When an account is deleted, live data is removed immediately and encrypted backups expire within 30 days. Financial records are kept as long as tax law requires. Security audit entries are retained in an append-only log for as long as the workspace exists.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and you may withdraw consent at any time. California residents may exercise CCPA/CPRA rights, including the right to know and delete; we do not sell personal information. EU/UK residents may lodge a complaint with their supervisory authority. Email privacy@inspectproconnect.com and we will respond within 30 days. You can also delete your account yourself — see Account & Data Deletion.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit with TLS and at rest. Access is scoped per company by row-level security, roles are enforced server-side, integration secrets are encrypted and never returned to the browser, and privileged actions are recorded in an audit log. Optional two-factor authentication is available on every account. Report a vulnerability to security@inspectproconnect.com.
8. International transfers
Our infrastructure is operated in the United States. Where data is transferred from the EEA or UK, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses with our subprocessors.
9. Children
InspectProConnect is a business tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. The mobile apps are rated for a business audience.
10. Changes and contact
We will post material changes here and notify account owners by email before they take effect. Contact privacy@inspectproconnect.com for anything in this policy.
